
We bring you compliments from the Architects Registration Council (ARC).
The ARC/Council is the statuary body established by the Government of Ghana through the Architects Act 1969 (NLCD 357) to regulate the practice of architecture in the country. The work of the Council is targeted at protecting the architectural service consumer and the general public and upholding the integrity of the architectural profession.
We bring to your attention the following:
- Section 4(b) of the National Building Regulations 1996, (LI 1630) states that a building within a metropolitan or urban area shall be designed by an architect in consultation with a professional specified in this regulation and
- Section 12 of the Architects Act 1969 (NLCD 357) also states that only registered architects and those in Good Standing are eligible to practice architecture in Ghana.
Kindly submit to the ARC/Council:
- the identities and particulars of the Architect(s) on the project (who designed the project) and
- a copy of the Block Plan and the First-Floor Plan of the Project, one (1) week from the receipt of this letter.
The Council would also like to meet the Project Designer(s) and Supervisor one (1) week after receiving this letter.
