COMPLIANCE
The ARC/Council is the statuary body established by the Government of Ghana through the Architects Act 1969 (NLCD 357) to regulate the practice of architecture in the country. The work of the Council is targeted at protecting the architectural service consumer and the general public and upholding the integrity of the architectural profession.
- Section 12 of theArchitects Act 1969 (NLCD 357) also states that only registered architects and those in Good Standing are eligible by law to practice architecture in Ghana.
- Section 4(b) of the National Building Regulations 1996, (LI 1630) which states that a building within a metropolitan or urban area shall be designed by an architect in consultation with a professional specified in this regulation.
