Section 13(2): The Board may strike off the register the name of an architect if the prescribed fees remain unpaid for a period exceeding six months.
-
Section 13(3): A person whose name is struck off the register under subsection (1) may have the name restored if the Board is satisfied that the architect has become subsequently a fit and proper person to practice the profession of architecture; on the settlement of the penalties decided by the Board.
-
Section 21(5): A person who practices or undertakes to practice in breach of this section, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding twenty penalty units for every day during which the offence continues.
Further to the above:
- Architects and Architectural Firms who have not been in Good Standing for a continuous period within the past three (3) years shall be liable to have their names struck off the Register in accordance with Section 13(2) of the Act.
-
Reinstatement of such persons shall be subject to a formal application and approval by the Board, and upon payment of all outstanding fees, penalty fees, surcharges, and any sanctions imposed, in line with Section 13(3) of the Act.
- Architects and Architectural Firms who default in the timely payment of prescribed fees shall be subject to surcharge and penalty fees as prescribed by the Council pursuant to its powers under Section 18 of the Act.
[B] NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
That all Architects and Architectural Firms who remain in default for any period within the past three (3) years and fail to regularize their status on or before 30th June 2026 shall have their names struck off the Register.
